Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
Do you see? Do you see what I’ve done for you? Yes, you – Heather, Anita, Ann, Thea, and Mel! I’ve overhauled my blog to show my support of our team. I, Karena, who am actually much more of an earth-tone-leaning-toward-red kind of girl. I went blue for you! And I quoted from a sappy old movie that my son just happens to be watching for the first time. For you.
I could break out into a cheer or two if it’s necessary. I was a cheerleader in high school. But I think it would be rather sad to see a nearing-40 year old woman, 30ish pounds overweight, try to relive her high school un-glory days. So please don’t make me do it.
Let’s give it our all this week. Be active. Stick to your workout schedule. Don’t be tempted by the cookies you make for your kids. Don’t stop at Burger King on your way home because you’re too tired to cook. I’m going to be rock solid this week. And if I can do it in Belgium — the land of superb chocolate, and the original french fries (frites), and super-good and super-cheap wine and beer — then you can too!
You’ve got a dream. I do too. Let’s do what we can to achieve them together.

Ah! You are the best! I will remember this during tomorrow monthly birthday lunch. I will make sure to choose wisely!
GO BLUE!

Ah, you are such a dedicated Team Blue member! Thanks for that extra little boost of support! I really like that Blue, too! I’m working hard at not giving in to the summer “I NEED ICE CREAM” urge…but I’m finding it a lot easier since I am wearing my smaller pants and had a great day at the pool in my SMALLER non-W swim suit!!
Go Blue Team!
Speaking of Belgium…are there because of the US military? or another wonderful career choice by your dh? Just wondering??

Ann — we came here as military, but now my husband has retired from the Air Force and we are here as civilians. He works for NATO as a computer geek/engineer. We love it here! But there are some things we miss about the states. I guess you can’t have everything!
